The importance of the Trail and its many historic and prehistoric sites are protected, interpreted and promoted for the public’s benefit through collaboration and partnering efforts by the Kaskaskia-Cahokia Trail Coalition (KCTC). This all volunteer, informal coalition meets quarterly to advance and promote the Trail, educate visitors of the Trail's rich history, and promote tourism in the Southern Illinois region.
Membership and support of the Kaskaskia-Cahokia Trail and the Coalition is appreciated and open to all interested individuals, organizations, businesses and agencies. Please consider becoming a member of the Kaskaskia-Cahokia Trail Coalition and joining us at one of our upcoming meetings!
In 2018, the Kasksakia-Cahokia Trail Coalition formally organized as a not-for-profit corporation. This formal organization allows for increased funding opportunities through grants and tax-deductible donations which will in turn, further the purposes of the Coalition which include:
Promoting public awareness, education and enjoyment of the KCT
Protecting and sustaining KCT historic and scenic resources and values
